Best Dressed Media News

After successfully launching the first indoor digital billboard network in Roane County last year, we are gearing up to launch another network in Knoxville this summer. Our Roane County network has been met with a tremendous response. In fact, all of our original clients are still advertising with us – everyone has chosen to renew their contracts! We are confident that our new Knoxville network will be met with an even greater response. Look for our displays soon in your favorite restaurants, salons, fitness centers, and waiting areas.

Creativity In The Workplace

Creativity can take many different forms and has no regard to age, industry, or education level - we all have the ability to be creative. However, the fires of creativity are often extinguished in the workplace. As businesses grow larger, they often settle into complacency and don’t allow their employees to perform one of their most valuable tasks – being creative.

It’s amazing how quickly ideas can grow. In fact, I was in a meeting last week where a very small idea suddenly turned into a large project for my company. By allowing themselves to be creative in just one meeting, this company has given themselves a tremendous opportunity for growth.
Here are some small steps you can take to improve creativity in your workplace:

1. Give yourself and your staff permission to be creative. Don’t just say, “We’ve always done it this way.” Entertain new ideas that can save you time and money. Internet giant Google allows their employees spend up to 20% of their time working on new ideas. Their employees have developed everything from new parking lot layouts to new internet applications and have been responsible for much of the company’s explosive growth.

2. Give creativity room to grow. It’s amazing how ideas can multiply when they have the time and space to properly develop. You probably won’t ever implement 90% of your new ideas, but the remaining 10% can lead to tremendous growth for your company.

3. Learn to appreciate different personality traits in your employees. A diverse staff usually makes an effective, creative team.

As you know, all of our projects are centered around creative ideas. Cookie cutters are great – if you want to look like everyone else. By bringing new and different ideas to the table, we can help you to effectively market your business in new and creative ways. How do you encourage creativity in your workplace?
